Royal Ballet London, 2003

From the Dance series

Exhausted, relieved, energetic or exhausted. Usually no one gets to see dancers leave the stage after a performance. Backstage they fall into a kind of vacuum, the empty space that follows the almost superhuman effort. The mind is still on stage and the adrenaline is still racing through the body. The dancer has not yet switched to sober reality. Not only the dance, but also the dancer has been danced.
