Sabina van Gils is an autonomous photographer. In her photos she searches for a world that you would not simply see without the images. She places objects, people, animals and landscapes in a new light, creating space between what we know and what we see. The images suggest another world and make the viewer think about what kind of world that could be. Sabina works with poet Bas Belleman on new fairytales that still feel as if they have always existed. She graduated cum laude from the Photo Academy in Amsterdam in 2022, and her work has been shown at Buy my Darlings and Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam, among others.
