Nanouk Prins is an Amsterdam-based photographer. She graduated cum laude from the Photo Academy in Amsterdam in June 2021.
Nanouk published a photo book called 'Empty Forest', about a young woman named Emma Hauck, who was admitted to a psychiatric hospital in Heidelberg in 1909.
'Empty Forest' was one of the finalists at the Athens Photo Festival 2022. It was selected for the Singapore International Photography Festival 2022 and shortlisted for the Belfast Photo Festival. The book won silver at the 2021 Tokyo Photography Awards.
Her work has been exhibited in Amsterdam, Rome, Arles and Paris.
