Marike Hoex (1979) took her love for stories, images and emotions to a higher level when she started at the photo academy more than two years ago, in addition to her work as a freelance psychologist. An own signature emerged, which is still developing, and is characterized by the use of warm colors, shaded light and darkness. Based on topics and themes that are close to her and to which she feels connected, Marike embraces not knowing, the possibilities, lets herself be carried away by the undercurrents and continues to watch.
Marike about the photo: “During one of the last sunny weekends of September, I stayed with my sister and our children in the forest. The children played and I looked through the lens at their play and their dedication. to that. My son threw a toy airplane up and over again. With autumn already in the air, the endlessness of the summer days was palpable again.”
