The body, blurred and indistinct, represents the uncertainty of desire and vulnerability. But amidst this abstraction, a hand reaches out, sharply focused, like a beacon of hope. The message is clear: however blurry life may be, there is always a hand to help us find our path. "Come" is not just a call, but a reminder that we are never alone in our struggle for connection.
Sometimes you have to radically change course, dare to step off a train and board one whose destination you don't yet know. Kees Rijken was a successful art director for many years and decided later in life to leave his comfort zone. His passion is photography, and he has quickly established his reputation. He doesn't consider the fact that he embarked on this path "late" a drawback; on the contrary. Age has only physical disadvantages, but mental advantages. Life is fuller and richer; you see life with a different eye through your camera. And that we have a more gentle outlook on life with age is something Kees Rijken also appreciates.
