"This photograph was taken during a road trip from Miami to New Orleans in December 2024, together with my friend and fellow photographer Lotte Ekkel. The image is part of our joint series Halfway to Elsewhere, a visual reflection on American identity in transition.
My work centres on the relationship between people and their surroundings. Through colour and composition, I reveal the stories and metaphors embedded in the spaces around us. My images are often timeless and placeless, leaving room for personal interpretation. For me, photography is a way of exploring the complexity of identity, belonging and what it means to be human."
