This image is part of the series "Mokum Diary." As a street photographer, I typically create work during my travels, but photographing at home has always been challenging. "Mokum Diary" is a collection of images captured during long walks through Amsterdam. By paying more attention to light, color, and composition, I learned to see my own city anew and rediscovered my love for it.
My work centers on the relationship between people and their environment. With color and composition, I reveal the stories and metaphors inherent in our spaces. My images are often timeless and placeless, creating space for personal interpretation. For me, photography is a means to explore the complexities of identity, connection, and being human.
