Iris Planting is a Dutch photographer who has been working for many years under the name DutchAndFamous. With a background in portrait photography, Iris has built an impressive oeuvre featuring nearly every well-known Dutch person.
In her free, autonomous work of recent years, she now makes room for a more personal and intuitive approach. In this work, she explores the boundary between body and nature—where skin and landscape converge, where structures, forms, and movement intersect.
This series marks a quest for depth and personal expression—away from the familiar, toward the tranquil and the intuitive. What moves her, both literally and figuratively, becomes tangible in the interplay of skin, light, and air.
Her work has previously been exhibited both nationally and internationally.
