Part of Game-changer, a series on Georgia's young generation shifting away from Soviet-era mentality toward a modern, Western way of thinking. Subjects pose against a white backdrop that isolates them from the monumental Soviet-era buildings they no longer feel connected to.
 
Lika, a law student and recognised model in Georgia, was photographed at Lavrenti Beria's Cottage in Kojori, near Tbilisi, a house shadowed by dark legends of the Beria regime. "I will be happy to see our country progress and develop further.
 
Hossein Fardinfard (b. Iran, 1985) is an Amsterdam-based visual storyteller working across photography and videography. Starting in street photography, he moved toward documentary and environmental portraiture, capturing human stories shaped by their surroundings. He holds degrees in Cartography, IT, and Geomorphology, and completed his B.A. in Photography at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, in 2022.
